Fw: [AllahoAkbarGroup] True Anecdotes | The King of Yemen
-------Original Message------- From: Irfan Edhi Subject: [AllahoAkbarGroup] True Anecdotes | The King of Yemen "There's a structure in this city called 'the House of Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala' which people from all over – way more than this army, in fact – come to pay their respects towards and to the city's residents. Why then would they concern themselves with this measly procession?" The king became infuriated upon hearing this and swore, "I'll tear that structure down and have all of these people killed!" He then suddenly found blood emerging from his eyes, nose and mouth (along with a liquid so horrendous in smell that no-one in his company could bear sitting next to him). After seeking help from his numerous doctors to cure this condition of his (all to no avail), one of his priests finally stepped forward and said, "O King! This sickness is from the Heavens, while we possess cures only from the Earth. The only way to rid yourself of it is to seek forgiveness for any bad intention you may have had recently." So, the king repented from his earlier plans against the Kaaba and the Makkans and immediately found his condition return to its normal state again! Unable to contain his happiness, he then ordered for a silk covering to be prepared and draped over the Kaaba, before presenting every resident of the city with wealth and some silk clothing. The army then proceeded to Madinah al-Munawwarah. Upon their arrival, those that were scholars of the Heavenly Books examined its sand, stones and landscape and immediately recognized the area to be the future residence of the Final Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam. For this reason, they turned to their king and said, "We'd rather die than leave this city! Should fortune favour us, the Final Messenger will one day arrive and bless us with his companionship. Otherwise, the sand from his feet will surely land on our graves, and this will be sufficient for our salvation." So, the king built 400 houses for them in the city, and in the region of his chief-priest's residence, he constructed a few houses better than the others (intending that when the Holy Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam did arrive, he'd choose to stay in one of them). After then giving them enough money to begin their new lives, the king gave a letter to his main priest with the following instruction, "Give this to the Prophet if you see him in your lifetime. If not, keep it in your family until he arrives." 'From the most insignificant creation, Tabaa Awwal Hamīri, to the Intercessor of Sinners & Leader of Prophets Alaihim as-Salam, Muhammadur-Rasoolullah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam. O Beloved of Allah SallAllaho Alaika wa Sallam, I bring faith upon you, the book which will be revealed to you, and the religion that you will propagate. Should I see you in my lifetime, it would only be my good fortune. Otherwise, I ask that you intercede for me and do not forsake me. I'm from your first Ummah and also pledge allegiance (بيعة) to you. I hereby testify that Allah is One and that you are his true Messenger SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam.' When the Prophet neared Madinah al-Munawwarah at the end of his migration, its residents were so ecstatic to meet him that they came out in large numbers, decorating and tidying their homes and streets, all with the intention of having the blessed Messenger choose to stay with them over everyone else. Since he did not want to show favour to one family over another, Sayyiduna Rasoolullah entered the city and said, "Leave the nose-string of my camel and let it to walk freely. Wherever it stops, I'll stay there." In this way, the camel roamed for a short while until it finally stopped outside the house of Hadrat Abu Ayyub al-Ansaari Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu (who was, incidentally, staying in the very same residence built by the King of Yemen 1,000 years earlier!). When his servant, Abu Layla, presented himself before the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam, Rasoolullah SallAllao Alaihi wa Sallam noticed him and said, "You're Abu Layla; I'm the Messenger of Allah. Give me the King's letter." Rasoolullah was then presented with the letter; and after reading it, he said in reply, "I congratulate the virtuous brother Tabaa." [Mizaan al-Adyaan, Page 171] Lesson: The Holy Messenger was praised even before his birth… and the people who praised him even received honour for their praise! How then can we, who are in the Ummah of the Beloved Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam, not be shown any favour by him?! We also come to know the Prophet is aware of the past, and that cleaning and decorating buildings on the arrival of esteemed personalities is not a bad practice. In fact, it is the practice of the Sahabah al-Kiram Alaihim ar-Ridwan. ——— Extracted from Stories Of The Prophets (Partial Translation of Sacchi Hikayaat) Urdu: Maulānā Abun-Nūr Muhammad Bashīr | English: Omar Sayed | ||

Fw: [AllahoAkbarGroup] Re: Riba : Road to hell
-------Original Message------- From: Adil ibn Manzoor Khan Subject: [AllahoAkbarGroup] Re: Riba : Road to hell
"May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon You" Praise be to Allaah, we seek His help and His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of our own souls and from our bad deeds. Whomsoever Allaah guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allaah leaves astray, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allaah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu The chapter of Riba in the religion of Islam is of a sublime significance. For a believer to stay away from this, one has to know about it in a detail. The evil tree of usury is getting watered day by day by the followers of all religions; be it Christianity, Judaism and Islam. The monster is growing at a hell pace. Though the true teachings of all these religions strongly condemn and prohibit usury in their original versions. Later the clerics of Jews and Christian churches abandoned the prohibitions relating to Riba (interest, usury). The present world is filled with the filth of Riba. It has become almost impossible for an individual to stay away from this evil. Over 90% of the financial transactions that are carried in todays world contain partial or complete essence of riba in it. Prophet Sallallahu alaihe wasallm had warned 1400 years ago: A time will certainly come over the people when none will remain who will not devour usury. If he does not devour it, its vapors will overtake him. (Ahmed, Abu Dawood, Nisai, Ibn Majah). In simple words Riba can be defined as a loan with the condition that the borrower will return to the lender more and better than the quantity borrowed. The literal meaning of interest or Al-RIBA as it is used in the Arabic language means to excess or increase. In the Islamic terminology interest means effortless profit or that profit which comes free from compensation or that extra earning obtained that is free of exchange. The Holy Quran is also very tough on the chapter of usury. Quran says "Those who devour usury will not stand except as stands one whom the Satan by his touch has driven to madness. That is because they say, "trade is like usury", but Allah has permitted trade and has forbidden usury", (Surah Al-Baqarah verse no.275) "Oh who believe! Devour not usury doubled and multiplied; but fear Allah that you may prosper." (Surah Al-Imran, verse no.130) "That they took usury though they were forbidden and they devoured peoples wealth wrongfully; we have prepared for those amongst them who reject faith a grievous chastisement." (Surah Al-Nisaa verse 161) Allah never said that He and His messenger would wage war against one who commits any evil deed except Riba. Allah SWT says "If you do not, take notice of war from Allah and his Messenger but if you repent you shall have your capital sum. Deal not unjustly and you shall not be dealt with unjustly."(Surah Al-Baqarah verse no.279). One can easily understand the magnitude of the crime through the above mentioned verses of Holy Quran. Hazrat Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu alaihe wasallm said: Usury has seventy divisions. The easiest division of them is like a man marrying his mother (Ibn Majah). Again in another tradition Prophet Sallallahu alaihe wasallm said: A dirham of usury that a man devours and he knows, is greater than 36 fornications (Ahmed). In one tradition prophet said, "This night I dreamt that two men came and took me to a Holy land whence we proceeded on till we reached a river of blood, where a man was standing, and on its bank was standing another man with stones in his hands. The man in the middle of the river tried to come out, but the other threw a stone in his mouth and forced him to go back to his original place. So, whenever he tried to come out, the other man would throw a stone in his mouth and force him to go back to his former place. I asked, Who is this?' I was told, 'The person in the river was a Riba-eater." Apart from the one who gives and one who accepts interest, the person who writes the transaction or the one who bears the witness are also equally culpable. Hazrat Jabir R.A. Has reported that the messenger of Allah PBUH cursed the devourer of usury, its payer, its scribe and its two witnesses. He also said that they were equal (in sin). One fact that we must always remember is that ALLAH has bestowed us a very short life in this world and within this period, we have to achieve milestones. The biggest of all the milestones is paradise, which is our ultimate goal. Riba, for sure puts one into hell forever. ---------------------------------- Riba Prohibition in the Bible "Do not charge your brother interest, whether on money or food or anything else that may earn interest." (Deuteronomy 23:19) "Do not take interest of any kind from him, but fear your God, so that your countryman may continue to live among you." (Leviticus 25:36) "If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not be like a moneylender; charge him no interest" (Exodus 22:25) Righteous servant of God doesnt take interest 5 "Suppose there is a righteous man who does what is just and right. 6 He does not eat at the mountain shrines or look to the idols of the house of Israel. He does not defile his neighbors wife or lie with a woman during her period. 7 He does not oppress anyone, but returns what he took in pledge for a loan. He does not commit robbery but gives his food to the hungry and provides clothing for the naked. 8 He does not lend at usury or take excessive interest. He withholds his hand from doing wrong and judges fairly between man and man. 9 He follows my decrees and faithfully keeps my laws. That man is righteous; he will surely live, declares the Sovereign LORD. (Ezekiel 18:5-9) But the violent one will take it "10 "Suppose he has a violent son, who sheds blood or does any of these other things 11 (though the father has done none of them): "He eats at the mountain shrines. He defiles his neighbors wife. 12 He oppresses the poor and needy. He commits robbery. He does not return what he took in pledge. He looks to the idols. He does detestable things. 13 He lends at usury and takes excessive interest. Will such a man live? He will not! Because he has done all these detestable things, he will surely be put to death and his blood will be on his own head" (Ezekiel 18:10-13) Jesus Christ (pbuh) came to fulfill the Law. He said: "[17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. [18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. [19] Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. [20] For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven." (Mathew 5:17-20) The Hebrew word used for interest/usury in all these verses is Neh-shek: which means: From H5391; interest on a debt: - usury. ---------------------- Permission is granted to circulate among private individuals and groups, to post on Internet sites and to publish in full text and subject title in not-for-profit publications. . __,_._,___ | ||

Fw: [AllahoAkbarGroup] 3 Questions in the Grave
-------Original Message------- From: Adil ibn Manzoor Khan Subject: [AllahoAkbarGroup] 3 Questions in the Grave
Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu 3 Questions in the Grave When the son of Adam dies and his soul departs and he is placed in his grave, then he is in the first stage of the Hereafter, because the grave is the first of the stages of the Hereafter. It was narrated that Haani the freed slave of Uthmaan ibn Affaan said: when Uthman ibn Affaan stood by a grave he would weep until his beard became wet. It was said to him, "You remember Paradise and Hell and you do not weep, but you weep because of this?" He said, "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The grave is the first of the stages of the Hereafter; whoever is saved from it, whatever comes afterwards will be easier for him, but if he is not saved from it, what comes afterwards will be worse for him.'" And the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "I have never seen any scene but the grave is more frightening than it." (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2308; Ibn Maajah, 4567; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami', 1684). Secondly: The two angels who are charged with questioning come to him and ask him what he used to believe in in this world, who was his Lord, what was his religion and who was his Prophet. If he gives a good answer, that is good, but if he does not answer them they inflict a severe and painful beating on him. If he was one of the righteous, angels with white faces come to him, but if he was one of the evildoers, angels with dark faces come to him. This is the fitnah or tribulation that he suffers. It was narrated from Aaishah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to say, (O Allah! I seek refuge with You from laziness and old age, and from debts and sins; from the torment of the Fire and from the tribulation of the Fire, and from the tribulation of the grave and the torment of the grave, and from the evil of the tribulation of wealth, and from the evil of the tribulation of poverty, and from the evil of the tribulation of the Dajjaal (Antichrist). O Allah! Wash away my sins with the water of snow and hail, and cleanse my heart from sin as a white garment is cleansed from filth, and put a great distance between me and my sins, as great as the distance You have made between the East and the West)." (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6014). Ibn Hajar said: The phrase "from the tribulation of the grave" means the questioning of the two angels. Fath al-Baari, 11/177. And al-Mubaarakfoori said: "The tribulation of the grave" means confusion when answering the two angels. Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi, 9/328 Thirdly: With regard to the questions that the angels will ask in the grave, this is explained clearly in the following hadeeth: It was narrated that al-Bara (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: We went out with the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) for the funeral of a man from among the Ansaar. We came to the grave and when (the deceased) was placed in the lahd, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sat down and we sat around him, as if there were birds on our heads (i.e., quiet and still). In his hand he had a stick with which he was scratching the ground. Then he raised his head and said, "Seek refuge with Allaah from the torment of the grave", two or three times. Then he said, "When the believing slave is about to depart this world and enter the Hereafter, there come down to him from heaven angels with white faces like the sun, and they sit around him as far as the eye can see. They bring with them shrouds from Paradise and perfumes from Paradise. Then the Angel of Death comes and sits by his head, and he says, O good soul, come forth to forgiveness from Allaah and His pleasure. Then it comes out easily like a drop of water from the the mouth of a waterskin. When he seizes it, they do not leave it in his hand for an instant before they take it and put it in that shroud with that perfume, and there comes from it a fragrance like the finest musk on the face of the earth. Then they ascend and they do not pass by any group of angels but they say, 'Who is this good soul?' and they say, 'It is So and so the son of So and so, calling him by the best names by which he was known in this world, until they reach the lowest heaven. They ask for it to be opened to them and it is opened, and (the soul) is welcomed and accompanied to the next heaven by those who are closest to Allaah, until they reach the seventh heaven. Then Allaah says: 'Record the book of My slave in 'Illiyoon in the seventh heaven, and return him to the earth, for from it I created them, to it I will return them and from it I will bring them forth once again.' So his soul is returned to his body and there come to him two angels who make him sit up and they say to him, 'Who is your Lord?' He says, 'Allaah.' They say, 'What is your religion?' He says, 'My religion is Islam.' They say, 'Who is this man who was sent among you?' He says, 'He is the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh),Messenger of Allaah.' They say, 'What did you do?' He says, 'I read the Book of Allaah and I believed in it.' Then a voice calls out from heaven, 'My slave has spoken the truth, so prepare for him a bed from Paradise and clothe him from Paradise, and open for him a gate to Paradise.' Then there comes to him some of its fragrance, and his grave is made wide, as far as he can see. Then there comes to him a man with a handsome face and handsome clothes, and a good fragrance, who says, 'Receive the glad tidings that will bring you joy this day.' He says, 'Who are you? Your face is a face which brings glad tidings.' He says, 'I am your righteous deeds.' He says, 'O Lord, hasten the Hour so that I may return to my family and my wealth.' But when the disbelieving slave is about to depart this world and enter the Hereafter, there come down to him from heaven angels with black faces, bringing sackcloth, and they sit around him as far as the eye can see. Then the Angel of Death comes and sits by his head, and he says, 'O evil soul, come forth to the wrath of Allaah and His anger.' Then his soul disperses inside his body, then comes out cutting the veins and nerves, like a skewer passing through wet wool. When he seizes it, they do not leave it in his hand for an instant before they take it and put it in that sackcloth, and there comes from it a stench like the foulest stench of a dead body on the face of the earth. Then they ascend and they do not pass by any group of angels but they say, 'Who is this evil soul?' and they say, 'It is So and so the son of So and so, calling him by the worst names by which he was known in this world, until they reach the lowest heaven. They ask for it to be opened to them and it is not opened." Then the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recited (interpretation of the meaning): "for them the gates of heaven will not be opened, and they will not enter Paradise until the camel goes through the eye of the needle" [al-Araaf 7:40] He said: "Then Allaah says, Record the book of My slave in Sijjeen in the lowest earth, and return him to the earth, for from it I created them, to it I will return them and from it I will bring them forth once again. So his soul is cast down." Then the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recited the verse (interpretation of the meaning): "and whoever assigns partners to Allaah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place" [al-Hajj 22:31] He said: "Then his soul is returned to his body, and there come to him two angels who make him sit up and they say to him, 'Who is your Lord?' He says, 'Oh, oh, I don't know.' They say, 'What is your religion?' He says, 'Oh, oh, I don't know.' Then a voice calls out from heaven, 'Prepare for him a bed from Hell and clothe him from Hell, and open for him a gate to Hell.' Then there comes to him some of its heat and hot winds, and his grave is constricted and compresses him until his ribs interlock. Then there comes to him a man with an ugly face and ugly clothes, and a foul stench, who says, 'Receive the bad news, this is the day that you were promised.' He says, 'Who are you? Your face is a face which forebodes evil.' He says, 'I am your evil deeds.' He says, 'O Lord, do not let the Hour come, do not let the Hour come.'" Narrated by Abu Dawood, 4753; Ahmad, 18063 – this version was narrated by him. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami', 1676. And Allaah knows best. http://islamqa.com/en/ref/10403/grave Permission is granted to circulate among private individuals and groups, to post on Internet sites and to publish in full text and subject title in not-for-profit publications. | ||
