Dear Irshad,

You want to be able to do what you want, when you want. And if you can't because you feel pain, it's very frustrating.

Most people believe that back pain is caused by an isolated event.

The thinking goes, "Since I didn't have pain before the activity, the activity must have caused the pain."

After that, what usually happens is that you imagine if you can get rid of the pain it will get rid of the problem.

But getting rid of the pain is like shooting the messenger. You want to get rid of the problem, not the pain.

Pain is just a signal. A sign that something is wrong and you need help.

To cure the underlying cause of your back pain, you need to find out whether the pain is nerve-based or tissue-based.

Nerve pain is normally some type of burning, tingling or pins-and-needles feeling. Tissue pain usually comes from a "knot" in your muscles, or a dull ache in a ligament or tendon.

Once you know what you have, you can find out why your body is creating the conditions for pain to occur.

For example, you may have been led to believe that you aren't getting enough calcium, when you really may be deficient in magnesium.

Without magnesium, you can't process calcium properly. Magnesium also is involved in the muscle-relaxation response, so if you don't have enough of it, trigger points are more likely to develop.

You need an adequate, balanced supply of both (along with potassium and other trace minerals) to keep your muscles loose and ready to move at will.

Another nutritional cause of back pain could be a lack of vitamin C. That's because collagen makes up your connective tissue, and you use vitamin C to make collagen. Adequate vitamin C can keep your back and other joints inflammation-free.

This is one of the reasons I talk to you all the time about getting the right amounts of the right nutrients into your body. It's important to be able to get up and get going without frustration.

But back pain can't always be reduced through nutrition alone.

To Your Good Health,

Al Sears, MD

Cancer. Just the word evokes fear.

The medical journals and newsletters I get are often filled with articles about cancer. It's the 800-pound gorilla in the room. Once someone mentions it, it's all you can think about.

And if you're a regular reader, you probably won't be surprised that most of the cancer-related articles in medical publications are only about drug treatments.

I've even read research on whether or not aspirin prevents cancer. I wonder who's sponsoring those studies … Are they really trying to tell us that people are getting cancer because of a deficiency of aspirin?

The truth is, cancer rates are not rising because we're deficient in man-made painkillers. Cancer is increasing because of our man-made toxic environment.

Here's something positive about cancer that most people don't know…

Cancer was almost unknown in ancient times.

Why is this good news? Because it means you don't need any scary science to prevent it.

In a study completed just recently and published in the journal Nature, researchers looked at tissue samples from hundreds of Egyptian mummies. There should have been evidence of cancer in all of them, according to modern cancer statistics. And mummification would have preserved any sign of tumors.

But instead of finding cancer in nearly every mummy … they found only a single case. The hundreds of other mummies showed no sign of cancer at all.1

These results would be impossible if cancer were not an entirely modern plague. Statistically, it could not happen.

And it wasn't because Egyptians didn't live long enough to get cancer. The mummies had evidence of age-related problems like brittle bones and hardened arteries.

What we should be doing today is trying to mimic the environment we had back then. That's what we should be paying attention to.

Researchers from some of the largest institutions in Texas are trying to help. They recently revealed how cancer begins. It starts with weakened cells.

Strands of DNA sometimes get broken through your body's natural processes. Your cells then send signals to your body to repair your DNA. If the response is deficient, or no help comes at all, those cells become vulnerable to cancer.2

What happens today that did not happen in out native environment is that those breaks occur a lot more often. They're caused by things like environmental pollutants and chemical ingredients in food. Our bodies haven't adapted to the huge increase in these man-made toxins over a very short period.

So let me be as clear as I can: Cancer isn't a "normal" part of life. Toxins and chemicals are interfering with your natural ability to defend yourself.

The most important thing you can do is to strengthen your cells, so they're more disease-resistant. And that means making sure your body has the energy and the nutrients to repair and maintain those cells.

The three most important nutrients you need to keep your cells strong are also the ones chronically deficient in today's world. They are vitamin C, vitamin D and CoQ10.

1. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that disarms damaging free radicals before they can attack healthy cells and stimulate tumor growth.

We also now know that the protective caps on the ends of your DNA, called telomeres, are very sensitive to this kind of damage. The shorter your telomeres, the older your cells act and the more susceptible they are to becoming cancerous. The new, exciting discovery about vitamin C is that it's very effective at defending you against this process and protecting your DNA.

We get some vitamin C from our food, but not nearly enough. The foods with the most vitamin C include dark green, leafy vegetables, and "superfruits" like the acerola cherry. Also, you probably don't think of them this way, but peppers are the kings of vegetable vitamin C. Watercress is also a little-known but rich source of vitamin C. If you choose to supplement, try to get 1,500 mg twice a day if you're healthy. If you're under a lot of stress, or if you are sick, you can take as much as 20,000 mg per day.

2. Low Vitamin D levels are strongly linked to cancer. A report out of a university in Nebraska showed that vitamin D has the potential to lower the risk of all cancers in women by 77 percent.3

Researchers at the University of California San Diego found you can lower your risk of breast cancer by 50 percent, and colon cancer by more than 65 percent, simply by boosting your vitamin D levels through sunlight, diet or supplements.4,5

A Harvard-sponsored report published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute revealed that when men raise their vitamin D intake, they can lower their overall risk of cancer death by 29 percent, drop rates of "digestive tract" cancers by 43 percent (throat, stomach and colon), and reduce death rates from these cancers by 45 percent.6

The best source of vitamin D is sunshine. Your skin produces vitamin D when the sun's rays shine on you. Ten to 20 minutes of sun get's you a full day's supply of it. To supplement with vitamin D, make sure you take the natural form, D3. I recommend at least 2,000 IU per day.

3. CoQ10 is one of the most overlooked nutrients. The government doesn't even have a recommended daily intake for it. But it's the fuel your cells use to make energy. That means it's the primary source of energy for the immune cells that get suppressed by cancer. CoQ10 restores their ability to fight back and attack cancer cells. Like vitamin C, it's also a powerful antioxidant that blocks free radicals from damaging your DNA.

Besides helping to prevent cancer, there are many clinical trials in which CoQ10 helps heal people who already have cancer. In one, researchers in Denmark studied a group of breast cancer patients. They gave them CoQ10, plus a combination of other antioxidants and essential fatty acids.

The entire group had a partial remission of the cancer. Two of the patients received larger doses of CoQ10 (390 mg) and their tumors disappeared.7 In no way am I saying stop your cancer treatment and only take CoQ10. What I am showing you is the power of this important nutrient against cancer.

The best way to get CoQ10 is by eating red meat from grass-fed animals. Grain-fed meat is not a good source of CoQ10. If you want to supplement, the form you get is very important. I recommend 50 mg of the ubiquinone form, which is 8 times stronger and is better absorbed than the old form.

Calcium is everywhere these days. It's hard to get away from it even if you try. They put it in bread, milk, orange juice, pasta, yogurt, toothpaste, chewing gum, snack crackers and granola bars... it's even in your water, depending on where you live.

That's a lot of calcium.

But supplementing with even more calcium is not a good idea.

A review done by the British Medical Journal carefully analyzed 11 different calcium supplementation studies. The BMJ found that taking more than 500 mg a day increased heart attacks by 31 percent.1

Those supplementing with calcium were also more likely to have more than one heart attack.

Another study looked at 1,471 women over five years. Half took 1 gram of calcium a day, and half took a placebo.2

The women assigned to take calcium supplements were more than twice as likely to have heart attacks compared with those who took a placebo.

The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture found that most Americans take in around 800 mg of calcium every day. Fortunately, that's about how much you need if you're a healthy adult.

And as long as you eat anywhere near a normal diet, you don't need calcium supplements. You get plenty of calcium through the food you eat.

My favorite way to get my daily dose is to eat lots of dark green leafy vegetables like mustard greens and broccoli.

Some other good sources of calcium are:

Food
Amount of calcium
per 100 g (3.5 ounces)
Parmesan Cheese
(fresh, not processed)
1,220 mg
Sesame Seeds
1,160 mg
Swiss cheese
950 mg
Sardines
460 mg
Almonds
250 mg
Parsley
330 mg
Oysters
190 mg
Brazil Nuts
180 mg
Pistachios
130 mg
Lemon slices
110 mg
Broccoli
80 mg
Cabbage
80 mg
Turnips
75 mg
Kidney Beans
70 mg
Blackberries
60 mg

Also, I like to use spices when I cook, and two very flavorful spices in their powdered form – curry (645 mg) and mustard (335 mg) – are loaded with calcium.

To make sure you retain the calcium you take in, try to get 400 mg a day of magnesium. It works in your bones to balance your calcium.

So have a beer every now and then and relax. (Yes, beer has calcium, too – usually between 15 and 20 mg in a 12-ounce bottle).

FW: What Kind of Parents We Are ?

-------Original Message-------
Date: 14-02-2011
Subject: What Kind of Parents We Are ?

                                                            Must Read Article..

Must read the below column and then share with your friends( and even kids-where applicable).

One young academically excellent person went to apply for a managerial position in a big company. He passed the first interview, the director did the last interview, made the last decision.

The director discovered from the CV that the youth's academic
achievements were excellent all the way, from the secondary school until the postgraduate research, never had a year when he did not score good grades.

The director asked, "Did you obtain any scholarships in school?" the
youth answered "None." The director asked, " Was it your father who paid for your school fees?" The youth answered, "My father passed away when I was one year old, it was my mother who paid for my school fees."The director asked,
"Where did your mother work?" The youth answered, "My mother worked as clothes cleaner." The director requested the youth to show his hands.
The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.

The director asked, " Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?"

The youth answered, "Never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books. Furthermore, my mother can wash clothes faster than me."

The director said, "I have a request. When you go back today, go and
clean your mother's hands, and then see me tomorrow morning."

The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high. When he went back, he happily requested his mother to let him clean her hands. His mother felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings, she showed her hands to the kid.

The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tear fell as he did
that.It was the first time he noticed that his mother's hands were so
wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in her hands. Some bruises were so painful that his mother shivered when they were cleaned with water.
This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of
hands that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school fee.The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother had to pay for his graduation, academic excellence and his future.

After finishing the cleaning of his mother hands, the youth quietly
washed all the remaining clothes for his mother. That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.

The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, asked: "Can you tell me what have you done and learned yesterday in your house?"

The youth answered, "I cleaned my mother's hand, and also finished
cleaning all the remaining clothes."The Director asked, "Please tell me your feelings."

The youth said, Number 1, I know now what is appreciation. Without my
mother, there would not be the successful me today. Number 2, by working together and helping my mother, only I now realize how difficult and tough it is to get something done. Number 3, I have come to appreciate the importance and value of family relationship.

The director said, "This is what I am looking for to be my manager."I
want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who would not put money as his only goal in life. You are hired?.

Later on, this young person worked very hard, and received the respect of his subordinates. Every employee worked diligently and as a team. The company's performance improved tremendously.

A child, who has been protected and habitually given whatever he wanted, would develop "entitlement mentality" and would always put himself first.

He would be ignorant of his parent's efforts. When he starts work, he assumes that every person must listen to him, and when he becomes a manager, he would never know the sufferings of his employees and would always blame others.

For this kind of people, who may be good academically, may be
successful for a while, but eventually would not feel sense of
achievement. He will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for more.
If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing love or are we destroying the kid instead?

You can let your kid live in a big house, eat a good meal, learn piano, watch a big screen TV. But when you are cutting grass, please let them experience it. After a meal, let them wash their plates and bowls together with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you do not have money to hire a maid, but it is because:-

You want to love them in a right way.You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parents are,one day their hair will grow gray, same as the mother of that young person.

The most important thing is your kid learns how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learns the ability to work with others to get things done.

You would have forwarded many mails to many and many of them would have back mailed you too ... But try and forward this story to as many as possible
.... this may change somebody's fate...

Regards and best wishes.

Fw: you'll love these relaxation techniques -

Subject: you'll love these relaxation techniques -

Helpful Relaxation Techniques

Hi again, Irshad.  Have you begun working on eliminating some
of the stressors from your life?  Are you taking action, changing
your perception or accepting the circumstances you can't yet
change?  If so, you should be feeling more in control of your
circumstances, and that's a good thing!

Today I'll be sharing some simple strategies to help you manage
stress, and even stop it before it gets started.  You may have
experience with some of these already, but I'll explain why they're
so helpful.

  •   Meditation.

Since a lot of stress stems from your own scattered thoughts and
errant emotions, meditation is a great way to quiet your mind and
improve your focus.  And the benefits last long after you've
stopped meditating too!  Just a few minutes of meditation in the
morning can help you feel calmer and more focused all day long.

NOTE:  Our Totally Tranquil program is designed to produce an
alpha-level meditation.  That's similar to relaxing in front of the
televsion (yet, much more mentally healthy for you).  For a deeper
level of meditation, try our Deep Zen program -
http://www.deep-zen.com  This program takes you into a low-theta
brain state - that's just above sleep, where you're still
    conscious, yet deeply relaxed.

  •   Visualization.

Visualization is like taking a vacation in your mind.  In fact, you
can do just that when you're feeling stressed!  The next time you
find yourself in a stressful situation, find a quiet place to be
alone for a few minutes, close your eyes, and imagine that you're
lying on a tropical beach.  Feel the sand beneath your body, the
sun warming your skin, the kiss of the breeze moving through your
hair.  Breathe deeply and welcome the sensation of total relaxation
flowing through your body.  Just a few minutes of this can trigger
your body's relaxation response because your mind cannot tell the
difference between something real and imagined!

  •   Exercise.

You've heard it before but the benefits cannot be ignored!
Exercise gets those feel-good endorphins flowing, which will
continue to benefit you long after you're done exercising.  Not
only that, but you'll feel stronger physically, more balanced
emotionally, and more alert mentally - which can help you cope
    better with stress.

  •   Deep breathing.

Most of us are "shallow breathers," using only a portion of our
lung capacity.  As a result, we feel sluggish, foggy-headed and
tired.  Get into the habit of breathing deeply and fully several
times a day.  Doing so floods your body with oxygen; wakes you up
AND calms you down.  You'll feel alert, energized and balanced,
which can help you focus better on whatever you need to get done.

  •   Massage.

This is one of those "luxuries" that should be a necessity for
anyone who feels stressed!  True, massages aren't exactly cheap,
but even if you can only afford a monthly massage, it's well worth
the money because just 20-30 minutes of massage can wipe away
    months of stress.

  •   Recreation/Fun.

Don't underestimate the power of fun and recreation to get rid of
(and prevent) stress.  Be sure to make a regular habit of spending
time with friends and doing things you love.  Read good books,
watch good movies, dance, listen to good music, etc.

All of these things are great ways to manage your stress, but even
better, if you do them on a regular basis, you'll find that you
don't get as stressed as you once did.

Be sure to tune in for tomorrow's installment,
Because I'm going to share another powerful technique for managing
stress - right while you're in the heat of the moment!

    Until then,

    Randolph, Holothink.com

PS - You can use the Totally Tranquil before, during or after most
of these suggestions to magnify the positive impact of your
    Experience.

Valentines Day : How Halaal is it ?
    by
    Asma bint Shameem

Okay...so its that time of the year again. When they say that "love" is in the air. The time when you see RED  everywhere.....red hearts, red candy, red flowers and red roses.

And when you walk into the stores you see chocolates, and jewelry and gifts for "that someone special you know".

This is the time when the old and the young, and even kids, as young as those in elementary school, exchange valentine cards and love notes amongst themselves.
    And why is all this?
    Because it's "Valentine's Day"...thats why.

But the sad calamity is, that even us Muslims are doing this. And its not just in the West. Those living in Muslim countries are just as involved. They too, are exchanging cards and gifts and love notes.

They too, are celebrating Valentines Day,

But what is this "Valentine's Day" after all ?

Have we ever thought about it? What is the story behind it?

What does celebrating "Valentines Day" really mean?

Where does this fit in a Muslims life?

In fact, does it even fit in it at all?

Looking at the Quraan and Sunnah, one should realize that we should not be celebrating it in the first place, because it is a celebration of the non-Muslims. Whatever we need to celebrate has been prescribed to us by Allaah and His Messenger (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) and it is prohibited to celebrate anything else.

That is why And Allaah said:
"For every nation We have ordained religious ceremonies which they must follow."
    [Surah al-Hajj:67]

And the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) said: "Every nation has its own Eid (celebration) and this is our Eid (meaning Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha). ' (al-Bukhaari, Muslim)

But, even if this Divine command was not there, it still would not be appropriate for a Muslim to celebrate Valentines Day.

    Why is that ?

Because, if you really think about it, what this day promotes and revolves around, goes against the very basic principles of Islaam. What this day encourages, cuts at the very roots of what our religion teaches us.

Let us see what some of these differences are:

    1. Allaah commands us to lower our gaze and not look at the opposite gender.

"Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and protect their private parts....And tell the believing women to lower their gaze, and protect their private parts..." Surah al-Noor :30-31)

But Valentines Day encourages people to deliberately look and stare and seek out the one that you find attractive and pick him/her as your valentine.

    2.  Allaah orders the Muslim women not to talk unnecessarily or in a soft manner to strange men.

"....then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery) should be moved with desire" (Surah al-Ahzaab :32)

Even for the Sahaabah, Allaah ordered them to screen themselves from the wives of the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) when they need to ask them something.  Who could be purer than the wives of the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) and who could be higher in taqwa than the Sahaabah?

"And when you ask (the Prophets wives) for anything you want, ask them from behind a screen, that is purer for your hearts and for their hearts".
    (Surah al-Ahzaab: 53)

Yet, for Valentines Day, you see young men and women who are absolutely not mahram for one another in any way whatsoever, going way beyond this prohibition. Not only are they talking to each other in a soft and flirtatious way, but they are right out expressing their love (in reality, lust) for each other.

    3. The Sunnah prohibits a man and a woman from being alone together at any time.

The Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) said:
"Whoever believes in Allaah and the Last Day, let him not be alone with a woman who has no mahram present, for the third one present will be the Shaytaan." (Ahmad -- saheeh by al-Albaani)

But those who celebrate Valentines Day purposely seek to be alone with each other and go out on dates with each other while Allaah says:

"And come not near to unlawful sex. Verily, it is a Faahishah (i.e. anything that transgresses its limits: a great sin, and an evil way that leads one to hell unless Allaah Forgives him)" (al-Isra' :32)

    4. Islaam prohibits a man to even touch a non-mahram woman.

The Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) said:
"If one of you were to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle, that would be better for him than his touching a woman who is not permissible for him." (al-Tabaraani --saheeh by al-Albaani)

But Valentines Day promotes more than just touching. It promotes hugging, kissing, cuddling and much more. May Allaah protect us.

    5. Islaam teaches us that real love between a man and a woman, that is acceptable and allowed by Allaah is only that between a husband and his wife.

"And of His signs is that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you might reside with them, and has put love and mercy between you. Surely, there are signs in this for those who think".
    (al-Room: 21)

But Valentines Day endorses haraam relationships between a non-mahram man and woman and encourages illicit love and un-Islaamic affiliations.

    6. Islaam tells us that Hayaa (modesty) and bashfulness are a jewel to be treasured.

It is a purity and innocence that is a virtue, regardless for a man or a woman.

The Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) said:
"Hayaa (modesty) is a branch of faith." (Bukhaari)

On the other hand, this Valentines day advocates nothing but shamelessness and immodesty. Young men and women who have no hayaa for Allaah, leave alone for each other, openly and shamelessly, ask each other to be their love or be their valentine. Subhaan Allaah!

    Conclusion

We, as Muslims, should not be celebrating Valentines day, nor is it allowed for us to do so. Everything that this day revolves around and is associated with is totally against the pure and pristine teachings of Allaah and His Messenger (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam).

One shouldnt even congratulate one another or commemorate this day in any way or form. Even if this celebration is between a husband and wife, it is not right to do so because it is a celebration of the non-Muslims. And of course, if it is an illicit relationship, then obviously it is haraam.

We should adhere to the limits set by Allaah, and not transgress them just because we see other people doing so.

May Allah guide us and enable us to be true Muslims who submit earnestly and sincerely to Allaah and His Orders.
    Ameen.

"O you who believe! Fear Allaah and keep your duty to Him. And let every person look to what he has sent forth for tomorrow, and fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is All-Aware of what you do."
    (Surah al-Hashr:18)

      Dear Irshad,

Did you know that every vitamin you take can be measured in your blood?

This led to a surprise for me early on in my career. When I started testing vitamin levels in the bloodstream of my most health-conscious patients, even the ones who swore they took a multivitamin every day, they were malnourished!

I had to do some researching to understand why.

      Stop Chronic Disease with This

Did you know that having a toxic digestive system can make you chronically ill?

Your colon is the perfect breeding ground for all kinds of harmful bacteria and parasites. The toxins rub and push against the walls of your colon, making them irritated and inflamed.

And when that happens, believe me, you'll feel it. You'll suffer everything from aching muscles, joint pain, fatigue, bloating, diarrhea and constipation to headaches, dull eyes, poor skin, spots, and depression. Even worse, the inflammation can spread through your body and get into your blood. And over time, that can lead to heart disease – and even cancer.

      But there's good news...

You can cut your risk of chronic disease by doing one simple thing – cleaning out your colon.

I've come across a great new three-step program that helps you do just that. It detoxifies your colon by cleaning out all the intestinal worms, parasites and toxic build up fast. Best part is – it's all natural and easy to do. Click here to check it out...

      Here's what I learned:

The major vitamin makers buy the cheapest ingredients on the international market. These tend to be synthetic versions of the vitamins they list on the label. Then they blast them into a tiny little pellet and coat it with chemicals.

Your body can't absorb most of what's in them, so it just eliminates them. So you're not getting any real health benefit.

My patients were just throwing money away without getting results.

These synthetic vitamins are made in a lab, whereas natural vitamins are from a source that occurs in nature.

This is important for you because you are designed to get your vitamins and other nutrients from food. Vitamins from natural sources will have with them all the trace minerals, enzymes, and co-factors that make them work so well in nature.

Vitamins constructed in the lab have none of these. They're stripped-down copies… isolated chemical forms of the real thing.

Meanwhile, it's tough to know what you're getting. Many "health" websites will advise you not to take a vitamin if it has a "chemical-sounding name" because it's probably synthetic.

The problem with that advice is most vitamins themselves have chemical-sounding names.

Vitamin C is called ascorbate. Vitamin D is cholecalciferol. Vitamin B-6 is pyridoxine. Vitamin B-12 has the tongue-twisting chemical name cyanocobalamin. You can't avoid these… they are your vitamins.

So forget about the chemical-sounding names. Making sure your vitamins are real is much easier than that

      Here's what to do instead:

      1. Look for what's NOT in your vitamin.

Well-made, natural vitamins leave out things like sugar, yeast, salt, gluten and artificial colors and preservatives.

Remember though, that vitamins do need some kind of filler to physically keep the pill from falling apart. That means there will often be some kind of cellulose or stearate in them. But don't worry, they're harmless.

      2. Look for the letters d and l.

      Let me explain…

You can clearly tell the difference between synthetic and natural forms of vitamins when you shine a simple beam of polarized light on them.

A natural vitamin will bend all the light to the right because of the way the molecules spin together in nature. The Latin word for right is "dextro," so you'll often see a lower case "d" in front of the vitamin name if it's natural.

But if you send that same beam of light through a synthetic vitamin, it will bend both ways. Half to the right, and half to the left. The Latin for left is "levo." Put that together with "dextro" and you have the "dl" you often see on labels at the beginning of a synthetic vitamin's name.

The best example is vitamin E. There's plenty of evidence your body uses the natural form – d-alpha tocopherol – much better than the synthetic dl-alpha tocopherol.

Like the study done last year which found that the natural form had significantly higher antioxidant effect.1 And in an animal study, the natural form was absorbed much better. The animals were given more than twice as much synthetic vitamin E and still didn't have the same serum levels as the ones given the natural form.2

A synthetic vitamin is sort of like a reflection in a still pool of water… it looks like the real thing, but it's far from it.

      To Your Good Health,
